Dave Herrero

Blues / Rock / Drama

Chicago, IL

Raised in a small beach town outside of Tampa, Florida, Dave was introduced to the local and national music scene though a family friend, sneaking out of military school at age 15 to regularly to see bands like the Arc Angels and Johnny Winter, and to go to a local blues jam at the Green Iguana on Monday nights, where local heroes like James and Lucky Peterson would frequently pop in. Herrero got his start as a professional touring musician in 1996 in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, and after earning his degree in Psychology and Child Care Management from University of North Florida, moved to Austin, TX and joined Archie Bell and the Drells (of "Tighten Up" fame). In Austin, he quickly immersed himself into the music community there, playing with the likes of Gary Clark Jr, Charlie Sexton, Lazy Lester and Marcia Ball, and all the while starting the 501(c)3 Blues Society of Austin. It was in Austin that Dave honed in on his guitar playing, singing and songwriting and business skills, that he then took with him to Chicago.

Dave is a driving force behind the business side of TrackForce, organizes the writers, excecutes the contracts, and handles a majority of the production for our roots music division.

In his free time, Dave enjoys impersonating his favorite bluesmen while grilling his "boy I should smack you!" famous BBQ chicken.
